Fully recovered! YEAH!!! =D

The doctor says I am clear of the BAAAD BAAAD HFMD and I am ready to go back to school!! Hoooray!!!

I'm a happy boy boy indeed and tonite, we are celebrating Christmas at home with a special meal prepared by mommy :)

Gong Gong, Yee Ma, Yee Cheong and my favourite Timmy gor gor is joining us as well!!! We are gonna have loads of fun fun and I will share all my toys with him ;)

Here's wishing a merry merry Christmas to everybody and thank you too for all the well wishes and concern when I was sick sick.

I hope everybody will have a great Christmassy Christmas like I will!

Been sick

Hi hi everybody. I have been sick sick this month that's why I couldn't update.

I'm now resting at home home all week as me have been down with the bad bad hand foot and mouth disease. It was really painful and uncomfortable as I kept having high fever. The highest was 39.4deg celcius and I was shivering uncomfortably. Daddy and mommy kept giving me medicine to bring down the temperature.

I couldn't eat or sleep as I had lots of painful ulcers in my mouth mouth and the back of my throat too.. What a sad week for me because I miss my teachers and friends in infant care.

But on the happy happy side, I get to spend lots and lots of time with my mommy and daddy!!! They took leave to care for me and I feel much better now!!!

I can eat eat and sleep sleep well too. And I got pampered by everybody as well.. Hee Heee... Ye Ye went to buy me a special toy dog dog which can walk, bark and wag his tail for ME. And my Gong Gong came down to visit me too.. Even Yee Ma bought me a special gift gift but I dunno what it is yet. =)

I hope I can go back to school next week though! I do miss all my activities and friends! =D

Lots and lots of painting

I've been doing painting painting all week!

Here's my arty work over the past week and today too!


Me me rubber stamping on a piece of paper with a cow cow on it. I can say Moooooooo Mooooooo , like the cow :)


Using a spongey sponge to paint the horsey brown!


Learning about the CARROT. I touch touch and taste taste the carrot, then I use it to paint paint the paper carrot! heee...


And today, I learn about the CHILLI CHILLI. It's hot hot so I cannot taste it but I used it to paint paint a paper chilli. Don't you think I did a great job? =p

I have some chalk chalk and teacher drew me an apple and umbrella to teach me the words. I can say "Brella" now!!! =D

Tomoroo is my small yee ma's (my mommy's cousin) R.O.M @ Raffles Town Club! I can't be there coz evil mommy and daddy decide to still send me to school but me me wanna say congratulations to my small yee ma and hope she will have a happy happy day tomoro. Daddy is the camera man so he will show me the photos he will be taking! Heeeee...

Psst...I heard my beloved Timmy gor gor can't go too coz he will be sent to school like me. That makes my yee cheong and yee ma evil too coz they are going without him! We kiddos are so poor thing rite??

Anyways tomorooo is oso my Yee Cheong's birthday! HAPPY HAPPY BDAY to yee cheong! I will give you a big big kiss and head butt as my pressie to you! *MUACKS and HEAD BUTT* ke ke ke...

Painting

Today, I'm gonna show everybody how I paint paint a flower using the blue color paint! =)

First, I have a blob blob of paint from teacher and it's put onto the piece of paper:


Second, I use use the finger on one hand to spread spread the paint!


And next, to get into the action, I use use TWO hands!!! :D

Learning in school

Me learn learn new things everyday.

Yesterday we read read books in school. See, I am focus focused on the book with my friend, Anna :)

And today, I crawl near the slide, hold onto it, and pull myself up! I even take 2 steps steps.




Teacher was happy for me and she emailed my mummy to tell her this. This is what she wrote wrote:

"Dear parent,

Nat was holding on to the slide and took two steps and held on there. He then shouted at me asking me to see see that he was standing... Haha..."

Of course I must tell my teacher I can stand so she will take a photo of me and send it to mommy and daddy.

I'm a smart boy! =D

Language update from the mommy:

Nathanael is now picking up words at quite a fast rate and this surprises us as well as he can just repeat a word after us at times! New words he can consistently say are"Na Na" for banana, "Duck", "Stork" (the daddy taught him this at the bird park), "Yu" (Chinese for fish), "No more", "No", "Flower", "Dog", "Book", "Pee Pee" (Yes he said pee pee when we were in the midst of a conversation with my PIL as I was telling them that my nephew Timothy is being toilet trained and he corrected my sister, telling her that the correct word is "PASS URINE" when she asked him if he wanted to pee pee!!). Notice that most of the words are nature related as he is quite exposed to nature elements everyday. He will even imitate my dog barking which is hilarious!

Nat can call his grandparents Ye Ye and Nai Nai when he sees them now although I will prompt him at times, especially for Ye Ye. He finally learnt that daddy refers to well, Daddy! And Nat will keep saying DADDY when he spots the daddy. He can call me Mommy too now, but that is after some prompting. He also knows his infant friends by name and can repeat after us when we say out their names.

Quite an achievement for dear Nat and it's soooo funny when he babbles on and on, we have no idea what he is saying but I just love listening to his baby voice. LOL ;)

BIRD BIRDS!!

Ooohh I got to see many bird birds yesterday! That's because we went to the Jurong Bird Park.

We started off to the Falcon Trial to see the falcon show.Here's me and mommy sitting down waiting for the show to start =)


We saw owls, vultures and hawks and they were big big and flying pass so many times. I was busy looking at the birds birds and also smiling at the people around me. Heh Heh..

We saw the lovely pink flamingoes too.. There were little duck ducks on the pond where they were, and I learnt to say the word "DUCK"!

So many pink flamingoes. I wish they were near near to me so I can touch them and say hello!!! But we make make do with a family photo with the flamingoes instead. =p

This was my favouritest part of the bird park. The water fountain!!! OOOOhhhhh.... I loved the sound of the water falling from the top. Mommy and daddy laughed at me while we were there coz they say my eyes were BIG BIG when I saw the fountain. I likey likey the water mah...

We saw saw many other types of birds, of different colors and sizes. I enjoyed myself sooo much and I was a happy and tired boy boy when we left for home ;)

Doggy cookies and a trip to the botanical gardens

Mommy had the sudden idea to start baking. Daddy bought her an oven way before I was born and she never used it.

But she has been busy surfing her food blog blogs lately and she saw this on one of the blog blog, so she decided to bake some doggy cookies. No no, its not for the dog dog, but these are cookies that look like the dog =)

And after the cooking process, you get the doggy cookies!


This leads to mommy being "EVIL" again. You will think these cute cookies are for MEEE... but Noooo! They are for my Timmy gor gor. Isn't my mother evil? She doesn't bake for her dear son but her nephew.. Hmmmmpppfff!

So to make up for being evil, daddy and mommy brought me to the botanical gardens for a evening stroll and dinner.





And Timmy gor gor was there too... Playing with MY bubble gun ><

ROAR! I am a scawie Tigger!!

I'm a scawie scawie Tigger today!!! Roar Roar!!! Are your scawed??? Beware I can do great damage just like I am terrorised this plastic tub!!

Nothing scares me becoz I am the brave tigger! Not even a scary looking teacher!! I am protecting the rest of my friends from this scary scary teacher.

The tigger won the best costume award too! =) Hope everyone had a happy halloween-ween like the Tigger!!!

Who do I look like?

Daddy wanting to find out who I look like found this on the website! The result - I look more like Mommy by 6%!!! Mommy thinks that it is not true, because many people say I look like a mini Pizza, complete with identical ears, hair and even feet as Daddy!!!

(Yes, daddy is widely known as Pizza. I dunno why but I will have to ask him the story of his "name name" when I can speak in sentences!!! Tee hee hee).

Outdoor play

I get to spend plenty of time outdoors in school. Sometimes, I sit in the swing swing and sometimes I crawl crawl on the floor.

I get to see the teachers blow bubbles, and I also enjoy seeing my older friend friends running around and playing.

I love the teachers to carry me to walk around too.

I also love to look at the sky sky to see if there are any birds birds flying pass. If there are, I can point point at them and say BIRD BIRD =)

Now that I am older, I can also learn to sit in the toy car cars or rocking horseys out in the garden by myself and have fun..

Birthday @ Farrer Court - 20 Oct 2007

I had my birthday party on Saturday and it was great fun!!! There were lots of BIG people food food and not wanting to leave me out, mommy specially made me "Nat" baby sheperd's pie!!!

I loooooooved it!!!! Mmmmmmmmmm....

This is my special pie. One for lunch, and one for dinner. It's called Nat's pie becoz mommy cut out some cheese and formed my name on it! I was too excited and wanted to eat it up, so she had no chance to take a photo of it! And I had to make sure my Timmy gor gor didn't steal all my pie since he was telling my mommy that was his food!!! Luckily he didn't like it, if not, I will not have my pie all to myself!!! =p

I had lots of fun. And lots of pressies too!!! I was a happy boy boy but a tired one too. So we went home after the party ended and daddy said I must go have my nap. When I wokey up, I had my special pie again for dinner and a shower. After that, it was finally TIME TO OPEN MY PRESSIES!!! Woooo hooooo hooooo....

My dearest first born and so special in my heart,

You were such a wee little thing when you came into this world one year ago,

Little fingers and little toes, so small and fragile,

I was in awe of the wonderful creation God has given to Daddy and me.

Indeed as your name means, a gift from God, that's exactly what you are.

You bring such joy to our lives, laughter although sometimes exasperation.

But seeing you each day brings smiles to our faces and our day is brightened up at the thought of you.

One year ago, you depended so much on us.

But now, my baby has become a Toddler!

Learning to be independent, you can move about on your own like a little bullet whooshing away on all fours,

Snatching the spoon as you wish to feed yourself,

Chatting away and learning words everyday. You can even hum like you are singing a song.

You will get more independent as time goes by, and there will come the time when you won't want Mommy to carry you anymore.

But for now, I will enjoy your outstretched arms which tell me you want me to carry you in my arms,

Your little head resting on my shoulder when you feel sleepy or just wish to manja,

And your BIG kisses on Mommy's face, which will become all wet with your saliva.

Happy first birthday, my little one.

(Nathanael Ng was born on 20.10.2006 at 18:26, weighing at 3.085kg. He now weighs over 11kg)

Hurt.Hurt.

Me am hurt hurt today. Me crawl crawl and my face face fell "PLOP" on the floor!

It was very pain pain because my upper lip got cut and there was red liquid coming out. My teacher quickly applied some sugar on my lip and that made me forget the pain. The sugar was mmmmm, yummmy. I asked for more by saying " mum mum! mum mum!!"

It's not so bad to be hurt hurt, me tinks. Coz you get to eat sweet sugar! mmmmmmm....

Note from mommy:
Got a call this evening from Nat's teacher saying he fell flat on his face whilst crawling and cut his upper lip. He cried a little but stopped after getting sugar applied on his lip to stop the bleeding. Apparently, he was really interested in the sugar and wanted more! My greedy little boy! His lip is a little swollen now but he's still his usual chirpy self.

I suppose this will be the start of accidents soon to come, as Nat becomes more mobile. Life's interesting moments when you got kiddos around, for sure! =)

Driving the school bus bus with my Timmy gor gor

It has been a while while since I have gone out with my beloved Timmy gor gor and he loves to take care of me.

My Timmy gor will ask me if I want to eat eat if he is eating something. And he shares his biscuits with me too!

He is sooo good to me and he makes sure I get to join in his fun too!! On saturday we all went out for dinner together with Gong Gong and after dinner, Timmy gor gor sat in the school bus bus which he drove drove!! He asked me to join him too and we both drove drove the bus together! We had plenty of fun fun!!! =)
